In May of 2023, 3 people from CCC went to Nigeria to see firsthand the plight in the Gurku and Maiduguri camps and the help needed.

The first of 2 wells total were drilled; the first one was completed in 2023 for construction. The well pumps used gas and solar powered generators which were supplied to them.

In April of 2024, 3 people from CCC returned to Nigeria to see firsthand the progress of the effort and aid in the Gurku and Maiduguri camps and to attend the Church opening and dedication. Farming training was started, as well as Investigating solar for powering everything. Rabbi Rod preached at the EYN church in Maiduguri.
