Church In Nigeria

Towards the end of the 2023 mission trip It was decided that we would assist in the purchase of an additional plot of land near the IDP camp near the village of Gurku to build a new church for the local community on the outskirts of Abuja. The land for the church was titled to the Ekklesiyar Yan'uwa a Nigeria(EYN). Soon after the mission trip returned, Covington Community Church began raising funds for the construction of the church proper. construction began in late december 2023 and was finished in early 2024 with a seating capacity of 850 people.

In 2024 on a second mission trip to Nigeria members of Covington Community Church were present for the dedication and celebration of the church near the Gurku IDP camp which included festivities like dancing and food.
